A Community Effort for a Meaningful Cause

Ivy Gate Lodge recently came together to support a special fundraising event in aid of Bebe’s charity, creating a day that was shaped by generosity and community spirit. The occasion was inspired by World Bee Day on 20th May and carried an extra layer of meaning in honour of Bebe King.

A Fundraiser with Heart
The event centred around Bebe’s Hive Car Wash, which was promoted within the home’s car park and welcomed support from residents and the wider community. On the morning of the event, Bebe’s Nan and Aunt were invited in for breakfast, adding a personal and thoughtful touch to the day.
It was a lovely example of how small gestures can help make a fundraiser feel special. The welcoming atmosphere helped bring everyone together around a cause that meant a great deal to those involved.

Supporting the Local Community
The event raised £115, with contributions coming from community members and resident families. That support reflected the strong connections Ivy Gate Lodge has built with the Southport community and the willingness of everyone involved to contribute to a meaningful cause.
Fundraising events like this help create a sense of togetherness, while also giving residents the chance to be part of something positive and purposeful. They can bring people together in ways that go beyond the event itself.

A Proud Moment for Ivy Gate Lodge
The day was a reminder of how much can be achieved when a home and its community work together. Residents, staff, families, and visitors all played a part in making the fundraiser a success.
At Ivy Gate Lodge, community involvement is an important part of daily life, helping to create meaningful experiences that residents can enjoy and feel proud of.
